TYPICAL SCADA SYSTEM USING DCC COMPONENTS
- Uses standard IBM compatible P.C. for base station package.
- Uses proven Wonderware, Intellution or other HMI base station software
- Many communication options including licensed or non-licensed VHF or UHF radios, cellular or land line telephone modems, or satellite
- Uses proven DCC controllers, level monitors, communication servers, and RTU's with "Modbus" protocol via RS-232.
- As an option, uses PLCs
- Offers full monitoring capability as well as full control of pump controllers. Analog controllers give well level and ability to turn pumps on and off as well as changing lead and lag set points from the base station.
- RTU is backup pump controller and data logger for pump statistics.
- Communications Server handles remote sites and serves as a back up system to the P.C.
Description:
DCC SCADA is an integrated control and monitor system. For water and waste water applications, it will measure level; provide both remote and local redundant pump control; monitor status of pumps; poll and display alarms; call pagers with alarm status or phone numbers and report alarm status; store pump and alarm data; provide reports; offer remote control of level and setpoints for lead and lag pumps; and many other monitor and control functions.
This system offers proven pump controls, proven third party software with open protocols such as "Modbus", and several types of proven communication methods. This system is designed to be very modular for ease of installation eliminating some of the installation cost. When using spread spectrum non-licensed radios the uncertainty and wait of an FCC approval for a radio license in eliminated. If preferred, DCC can obtain FCC licenses.
The DCC SCADA system will help reduce spills and give early detection of wet well pump problems. It provides automatic record keeping and proof of corrective actions. This system also gives insight into a pump station and system operation and allows fine tuning of the entire collection system.
